Marguerite Cravatt, is a multi-talented producer and professor who has an eclectic background with 40 years of film Industry experience..
In the early eighties, she began her career as a talent agent for Mayo-Hill Modeling Agency in Houston, Texas. After a few years of success, she moved to Dallas and opened her own talent agency MCB Talents, Inc., representing models and actors. She helped cast talent and extras in two Academy Award Winning Films: Places in the Heart starring Sally Fields and Tender Mercies starring Robert Duvall, and she worked several seasons on the popular TV series - Dallas.
After a few years of success, in 1984 she uprooted again and moved to Los Angeles where she opened Creative Casting and cast talent and extras in over 200 feature films and movies of the week. After casting thousands of extras and talent, Marguerite sold her agency and entered college - again.
Marguerite wanted to produce, so she pursued a degree in film-making at California State, Northridge. Marguerite was a semester from completion when she changed her major to English Literature and Writing and transferred to California State, Los Angeles where she received her Master's Degree.
Starting in 2000, and for over twenty years, she balanced her work as an adjunct professor at East Los Angeles College (20 years) , as she simultaneously worked in the film industry producing documentaries as well as managing her real estate business.
Today, Marguerite lives in her hometown of, Pensacola, Florida where she has taught Script Writing at the University of West Florida and English Composition at Pensacola State College, and she continues to produce, teach, and manage her real estate business.
